What is Great Kid Adventure?
GKA is a place where children k-5th grade meet friends, talk about God and participate in a time of expressive worship. ‘Intentional’ small group leaders engage groups of 6-8 kids in meaningful discussion and activities. Our focus in large group is to present the Bible story or virtue in a fresh and relevant way that clicks and sticks with kids, promoting wise choices and lasting trust in God. The Great Kid Adventure is a great place to bring friends and neighbors!
About our Sunday Curriculum
252 Basics is a small-group driven curriculum, focusing on one virtue per month, taught in a 36 month track, with over 150, Bibles stories. Students are given the opportunity to earn extra points through memory work and “purchase” from our GKA store. We want every child to grow up to say:
- I need to make the wise choice
- I can trust God no matter what
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Kid's Baptism
Baptism is an incredible step in a person's walk with God and this is no different for a child. Because of this we offer three baptism opportunities a year for kids in elementary school. To determine whether or not a child is ready to be baptized we provide them with an orientation booklet and application that explains the significance of baptism and gives parents talking points surrounding the subject.
Following the completion of the application an orientation and personal testimony video filming take place. These final steps prepare both baptism candidate and family for the exciting event. Once these steps are completed the baptism takes place during the scheduled simply worship service and is followed up with a party for friends and family immediately after.
